International

The commitment of the International Relations Office at ETSII is to promote interchange of Students and Staff with the leading academic Engineering Institutions all over the world. Internationalization is one of the strategic principles of the ETSII, within a labor market context, where Engineers are professionals susceptible to develop their careers globally.

International experience is considered a valued skill from the part of employers, and the ETSII provides different possibilities to acquire it, with the numerous partners, and a 30 years old interchange expertise. Nowadays close to 50% of ETSII last year students, develop part of their studies out of Spain.

3 International Short-Term Programs University of Trento

Para poder beneficiarse del descuento para alumnos de universidades con acuerdo, se debe mandar, antes del 15 de marzo, la siguiente información a outgoing.industriales@upm.es indicando en el título del mensaje "Solicitud de nominación al Short-Term Programs University of Trento":
Name, Last name, Study course, E-mail address.

Trento mandará a los candidatos una guia para la solicitud online que debe hacerse antes del 31 de marzo. Para finales de febrero habrá un programa provisional disponible en su página web sobre cada curso.

La información general recibida es la siguiente:

Three International Short-Term Programs that the University of Trento has specifically conceived for your Senior Undergraduate and Graduate students:

1. Summer School in Psychological Humanities and Cognitive Science (PsyHuman) from July 6th to July 17th 2020 http://www.unitn.it/psyhuman

2. Trento Sustainable Summer School 2020 (TRES2020) from July 13th to July 24th 2020 http://www.unitn.it/tres2020

3. Gender Equality in Times of Populism and Sovereignism Winter School from Mid-January 2021 (dates to be defined) http://www.unitn.it/gender-equality

 

For two weeks, from Monday through Friday, students participate in organized activities for approximately 8 hours per day. Weekends are free to explore the surrounding areas and other Italian cities.

The academic component includes not only lectures, workshops, seminars and debates, but also field visits related to the specific School theme.

In addition, there are numerous social and cultural activities, such as a guided tour of the town, a one-day excursion to the surrounding mountains and museum visits

The reduced participation cost reserved for nominated students coming from partner universities is 450 euros (instead of 1.000) and includes accommodation, meals (except for breakfast), bus pass and social activities.

 

All Summer and Winter Schools are completely taught in English. Therefore, a minimum English level of B2 is required.

A final screening will be done on the part of UniTrento, especially for TRES 2020 which requires a specific academic background.

For the Winter School, the deadline for nominations is mid-September (student applications are due by September 30th).

Each STP will be activated with a minimum of 10 participants.

At the end of the School, participants will receive an Attendance Certificate and an official UniTrento Transcript of Records certifying the number of ECTS credits awarded by each School (more details on each webpage).
