 | Research Directions and Overview of the Australian Research Centre for Aerospace Automation (ARCAA)This talk will provide an overview of the Australian Research Centre for Aerospace Automation (ARCAA) and some of the research topics currently investigated in the center. In particular, the presentation will report research in two areas, the first area deals with critical enabling technologies for the integration of Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) into the national airspace, in this domain the presentation will provide an overview of the progress in collision avoidance and emergency landing for UAS. The second area will consider an application of UASs in a marine context, in particular the detection of marine mammals from aerial imagery. Finally, the talk will outline some of the future areas of interest being considered in the centre. |
